Houston, Texas – Kemper Valve & Fittings is proud to announce the first service salvage retrieval as a part of the company’s new salvage program initiative. This new service offering supports environmental sustainability and the company’s vision of end to end services. Kemper’s service team assisted in a district yard cleanup by collecting parts to be salvaged ranging from fluid ends to flow iron at the customer’s site in Fort Worth, Texas.

Through a partnership with Progress Rail, a Caterpillar Company, the salvage program enables customers to receive Kemper credits on retired parts such as flow iron, fluid ends, and other capital assets. Progress Rail leverages their global logistics network to provide improved scrap rates to the customer. The new program benefits both customers and the environment by identifying second life opportunities on retired capital assets.

“By providing services throughout the entire life cycle of our products, Kemper reduces the total cost of ownership to the customer,” said Mark Irving, Kemper product support manager. “Salvage credits can be applied to both product and service spend within the Kemper portfolio.”

Since the first project, Kemper has partnered with multiple service companies to provide incremental value on their retired assets. Projects range from one time site clean up to ongoing monthly retrievals. Salvage programs can be customized to support any size operation and is available in any active oilfield basin.
